Points:
The Tournament will be a standard three-round event with forces at 1750 pts.

How the Tournament will work:

It will use the 2008 GT rules and be 1750 pts. It will be 3 games in length.

Full GT rules are available here .

  • Competitors will compete in three (3)  games
  • Each round you will play a mission and record the outcome of the battle on your Results card. After each round,  you play against a different opponent.
  • In the first round, competitors will be matched randomly against an opponent. After that, the competitors will be matched  according to their Battle Point scores.
  • To match competitors by their Battle Point scores, we will rank them from the highest score to the lowest.
  • We will then pair off competitors from this ranked list. The two players in 1st and 2nd place will play each other, the players in 3rd and 4th place will play each other, and so.
  • Competitors can never play the same opponent twice. If this should happen, a Referee will step in and sort things out so that the players can face fresh opponents of a suitable caliber.
  • Once your opponent has been determined, you will be assigned a table.
  • Each battle will be fought on a 4' x 6'  table
  • Each table will be a battlefield with loose and/or fixed scenery
  • You must bring along a copy of the latest edition of rules, as well as copies of any material you will be using from the White Dwarf magazine or any other publication
  • Each player has a Battle results card for each round. Once you've finished your game, you must fill in one of the cards and then hand it in at the judges' table
  • The event organizers will provide no other game equipment - therefore the players are responsible for all other materials needed.
  • Competitors must be at least 14 years old to compete in the tournament   Materials you will need to bring along:
  • Your PAINTED miniatures
  • At least two (2)  sets of your Army Rosters (one for use during play and one for the judges)
  • Rulebooks and Supplemental texts
  • Pen and paper
  • Dice and templates
  • Reference sheets
  • Tape measure
  • Superglue (accidents do happen!)

Army Selection

  • Armies must follow the restrictions on army selection of their own Codex
  • Only armies listed are allowable in RTT
  • Minimum painting standards are three colors on each model in an appropriate scheme. Models should also be appropriately based. Suffice to say, a layer of undercoat is not enough! Undercoated or unpainted models will not be permitted for use in the tournament!
  • Weapons, wargear options, and upgrades chosen from the army list must be shown on the majority of models in the unit.
  • You may use converted miniatures to represent troop types that are not available yet.
  • The rules to be used will be Warhammer 40,000 Revised edition.
  • Equipment detailed only in Forge World's Imperial Armor publicationsis NOT permitted.  Forge World models may only be used to represent items in existing codex books.
  • A player who invents his/her own Chapter, Regiment, etc. or uses an otherwise undetailed Games Workshop one is at liberty to use any appropriate Codex to represent it. Full WYSIWYG must be maintained and the player should make it crystal clear to his/her opponent what Codex the army is using. An example of what is not permissible is a player who uses models that look like on recognized Chapter whilst using the Codex of a different Chapter.
  • The roster must include all of the models in your army. This includes their points value, the points value of any equipment , and which models are carrying any additional equipment or special items.
  • Your army list CANNOT exceed the points limit for the given tournament. There are no exceptions.
  • Remember - you will be penalized if your army list is in error. Please check your roster carefully!
